Dads, Grads, and Pads

It's June and the solstice is just around the corner! And boy, we are very excited about this summer now that we are free to move about the world again! We traditionally set aside time to honor our dads and grads this month! This time of year, we may see a seasonal change in the real estate activity levels.
DADS
I’d like to take a moment to honor my amazing dad! He has always been a quiet but steady strength for me. I often hear his brief words of wisdom in the back of my mind. Always pithy but full of clear and concise value. I’m grateful that we have a special day to acknowledge him as I’m sure that I don’t thank him enough on a daily basis!
GRADS
Congratulations to all of those graduates out there! You are our future and we are rooting for your success.
AND, PADS
June also marks the traditional end of our Spring home selling season. Many families with kids in school like to move into their new home after the school year ends and before their summer travels begin! This doesn’t mean that it’s too late to sell your current pad, especially if you are selling a 2-bedroom condo which is not ideal for a family, but the focus of many buyers in the market does typically shift a bit around this time of year. In the past few years, because of the excess demand for housing over the supply of homes available to purchase, we have seen a lot of home sales during the summer months as well. To be sure, many buyers are still seriously searching and will likely continue into the fall. However, if you plan to sell this year, we need to start planning your sales process now since we all now how fast time seems to pass once summer hits.
